Bir–Billing is the twin of the Kangra valley, Himachal Pradesh — Billing's 8,200-ft takeoff cliff above the Dhauladhar foothills rides thermals down to Bir's landing meadows on the tea slopes, making this one of the world's great paragliding amphitheatres, an hour from Palampur.
