Geography & terrain

Zuluk lies in the Gangtok district of Sikkim at about 3,000 m, 95 km from Gangtok and 30 km from Nathula — the Silk Route village of the region, its hairpins, the passes and the views set on the old trade road.

History & culture

The village's story runs with the 19th-century trade era — the Silk Route village of the 19th-century-era trade life and the 20th-century-era road era of the Nathula route, with the village's modern role as the view stop of the Sikkim circuit and the home of the hairpins and the passes and the 2000s-era homestays; the village's history of the 1960s-era route works and the ridge paths, gives Zuluk its Silk Route character.
