Sariska lies in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, 107 km from Jaipur and 35 km from Alwar — the tiger park of the region, its 1955 reserve, the safaris and the fort set on the Aravalli's hills.

History & culture

The park's story runs with the 1955 wildlife era — the tiger reserve of the 1955 founding and the 1978 tiger project of the Rajasthan, with the park's modern role as the wildlife stop of the Alwar circuit and the home of the jeep safaris and the 1955-era park and the Kankwari fort; the park's history of the 2004 tiger decline and the 2016 reintroduction and the lake edges, gives Sariska its tiger character.
