Geography & terrain

Mount Abu is Rajasthan's only hill station — a granite plateau at ~1,220 m in the Aravalli range, ringed by the Guru Shikhar peak (1,722 m, Rajasthan's highest). Nakki Lake sits at the plateau's heart; the dilwara temple complex crowns its western edge.

History & culture

The Delwara Jain temples (11th–13th centuries) are the town's true treasure — carved marble domes commissioned by the Solanki-era ministers. The British Raj-era 'hill station' hotels and the Nakki Lake legend (gods dug the lake with their nails — 'nakki') frame the rest of its story.
