Kufri lies in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh at about 2,510 m, 13 km from Shimla and 240 km from Chandigarh — the snow point of the region, its hilltop, the adventure park and the views set on the Himalaya's first ridge.

History & culture

The hill's story runs with the colonial-era resorts of the Shimla hills — the small hill station of the British officers' hunting and the skiing, with the hill's modern role as the snow-and-adventure day trip of the Shimla circuit and the horse rides of the ridge; the hill's history of the old ski lodge and the Mahasu peak's temple, gives Kufri its snow-point character.
