Khajjiar lies in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh at about 1,920 m, 20 km from Dalhousie and 100 km from Pathankot — the meadow of the Dhauladhar, its 9-hole golf course, the lake and the forest ring set on the high plateau above the valleys.
