Geography & terrain

Dzukou Valley lies on the Manipur side of the border between Manipur and Nagaland, about 30 km from Kohima and 20 km from the Viswema road — the high valley of the flower season, its bowl of green and the streams set at about 2,450 m below the Dzukou peak.

History & culture

The valley's story is the shared country of the Angami and the Manipur tribes — the traditional grounds of the border region, with the modern history of the trekking route and the valley's flower seasons; the Dzukou's bloom of the lilies and the region's heritage of the Khonoma country give the valley its place in the north-east's trekking.
